Total room nites for Dec were up 12%, year to year making Dec 2011 the best year for hotel visitors ever! Overall room revenue was ahead despite REV PAR being down slightly. Big Growth was seen from AUS, UK, long haul US. There was a distinct increase in Destination guests ( as compared to regional), meaning more money was being spent per visitor.
With interest rates at record lows and Whistler real estate prices at 1997- 2000 levels it's time to jump. It's a great time to diversify your investment portfolio with resort real estate.
